This Morrisville NC based position is an internal-facing, technical pre-sales role supporting Lenovo's sales teams. Your primary responsibility will be responding to technical queries from our sales force, both direct and channel driven. Your guidance will be critical in forming IT solutions that address our customer's business needs. You will be integral to the sales teams for hardware configurations, RFP assistance, and overall technical response.

The Technical Sales organization that you would be joining is the tip of the spear for Lenovo as we introduce our customers and prospects to innovative solutions around our ThinkPad, ThinkCentre, ThinkStation, AR/VR, Smart Office, Retail, Healthcare, IoT and Modern Deployment solutions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with sales teams to ensure solutions are meeting the customer's needs
  • Respond to technical questions that comes from sales through a queuing system
  • Provide guidance to sales on hardware configurations, software, services and best practices
  • Assist in responding to technical portions of RFPs
  • Understand and stay up to date on Lenovo's full portfolio of end point / user product offerings
  • Understand and stay up to date on emerging technologies and products and Lenovo's strategies to address them

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2+ years experience in the PC industry with a technical focus or completion of an engineering degree in computer science, IT, or similar technical degree

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong foundation in basic computing knowledge; hardware components, operating systems, software applications and networking
  • Self-starter who can work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous experience as a sales engineer is highly desired
  • Excellent relationship/team skills
  • Excellent professional verbal and written communication skills
