Job Summary Join Barrett Paving Materials, a leader in advanced pavement preservation solutions, and take your driving skills to the next level! We are seeking an experienced Lowboy Driver to join our teams in the New York Central region, transporting heavy equipment efficiently and safely to job sites. Compensation $29 - $31/hour Main Responsibilities Safely move heavy equipment to job sites, ensuring efficient and timely delivery. Operate equipment for loading and unloading from lowboy trailers, following safety protocols. Secure loads according to DOT regulations, ensuring safe transport and minimizing risks. Prioritize safety for yourself, coworkers, and the traveling public, adhering to all relevant regulations. Maintain an excellent driving record by following all laws under DOT, FMCSA, State, and Federal governments. Perform daily inspections and report any maintenance or repair needs immediately. During downtime, driver will be required to haul aggregate. Skills Knowledge of construction equipment and lowboy trailer operations. Ability to operate various types of equipment efficiently and safely. Flatbed/lowboy experience, with a focus on safety and efficiency. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively. Solid understanding of DOT Regulations and commitment to safety. Organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and maintain a clean and safe work environment. Requirements and Qualifications * Hold a valid Class A CDL with a good driving record. * Be willing to travel 75-90% of the time. * Adhere to all DOT and Barrett Paving Material safety regulations. * Be able to lift 50 pounds. * Wear and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. * Be able to stand and walk across uneven terrain regularly.
