PAY RANGE

The Target Pay Range for this position is $41.25-$50.38 hourly. The full Pay Range is $32.02-$59.76 hourly. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. BENEFITS

Employees and their eligible family members have access to a wide array of employee benefits, such as medical, dental, vision and life insurance coverage. Employees have access to disability and AD&D insurance. We also offer health care and dependent care flexible spending accounts, as well as health savings accounts, to eligible employees. Employees are able to enroll in our company's 401k plan and employer-funded retirement plan. Newly hired employees accrue 6.16 hours of paid time off (PTO) on a per pay period basis based on hours worked (up to a maximum of 160 PTO hours per year) and receive ten paid holidays throughout the calendar year. IMPACT YOU'LL MAKE:

You'll be at the heart of ensuring BECU's commercial credit operations run smoothly and effectively. By analyzing financial data, coordinating with members, and supporting our lending and portfolio management teams, you'll empower businesses to achieve their goals while contributing to BECU's mission of financial well-being. Your role will not only help maintain strong relationships with our commercial members but also shape the future of business lending at BECU.

This role will require one to come into the office at Tukwila, WA at times based on business needs.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Analyze Financial Data: Gather, organize, and review financial data from borrowers to assess creditworthiness, ensuring accuracy and completeness for underwriting decisions.
  • Support Business Lending: Partner with Business Lending teams to assist in loan origination, portfolio management, covenant monitoring, and member onboarding.
  • Prepare Credit Analyses: Perform ratio analyses, review trends, and prepare detailed credit reports to support loan decisions for new and existing accounts.
  • Enhance Borrower Experiences: Communicate directly with borrowers, providing superior service and ensuring timely follow-ups on inquiries and documentation requests.
  • Coordinate Loan Closings: Collaborate with borrowers and third parties to execute legal documentation, including SNDAs, insurance requirements, and other key documents.
  • Maintain Financial Records: Keep financial files updated with accurate and current information, ensuring compliance with regulatory and policy standards.
  • Monitor Loan Portfolios: Conduct annual reviews, track timelines, and inform the Credit Management team of changing account conditions.
  • Provide Expert Guidance: Offer advice to Business Services staff on technical information, accounting rules, and industry best practices.
  • Generate Reports: Create spreadsheets, summaries, and financial projections that provide actionable insights for decision-making.
  • Ensure Compliance: Adhere to sound credit practices and policies to meet legal, regulatory, and banking standards.
  • Collaborate with the Team: Maintain effective communication across teams to achieve BECU's shared goals.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree with an emphasis in business, finance, or a related field, or equivalent work or educational experience.
  • Five years of commercial credit analysis experience in commercial finance, preferably within a financial institution or credit department.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Excellent analytical and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency in PC skills and ability to learn new software.
