CTI is seeking a highly motivated Electrical Engineering Intern to join our team. As a leading high-tech software and hardware engineering corporation in the defense and space industry, CTI is dedicated to providing top-quality engineering, system development, and support. Internship Opportunity
In this internship role, you will have the opportunity to work alongside our experienced engineering team and gain hands-on experience in developing cutting-edge technologies that support military and security applications. You will be involved in all stages of the engineering lifecycle, from requirements analysis and design to testing and deployment.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate with the engineering team to design, develop, and test hardware solutions
  • Assist in the development of mechanical specifications and documentation
  • Participate in design reviews and provide feedback for improvement
  • Perform hardware integration, testing and troubleshooting to resolve issues
  • Contribute to the development of new designs and enhancements
  • Research and provide feedback on emerging technologies and industry trends
  • Research parts, systems, materials, finishes and other mechanical design features


Requirements
Necessary Skills and Experience

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program in Electrical and/or Computer Engineering ora related field
  • Academic or work experience with electrical design software and tools, and assembly, integration, testing and troubleshooting of electronic assemblies.
  • The ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance post-start date. as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship is required


Beneficial Skills and Experience

  • Design of embedded control systems (8-bit, 16-bit, 32-bit microcontrollers), analog sensor interfaces, RF communication interfaces
  • Experience with electronics schematic design and printed wiring board layout
  • Embedded software design and implementation using assembly language and C
  • Product development including packaging, fabrication and manufacturing
  • Experience/interest in radio frequency (RF) systems, specifically IEEE 802.11 wireless technologies, wireless networking, mesh technologies, and similar
