Position Summary:

The Workday Testing Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the Quality Assurance (QA) team, ensuring effective coordination of testing processes for the Workday system. In a cloud-based environment with frequent releases, the Testing Coordinator will accelerate testing execution, plan for tester availability, and develop a test automation competency. This role will also involve working with vendors to identify and document pretests, utilizing a risk-based testing framework to streamline in-house test scenarios.

As a Testing Coordinator, plays a critical role in the Clinical Informatics & Learning team, responsible for the development and execution of testing standards and procedures to ensure the quality and reliability of our electronic health record (EHR) and other health information technology systems. Expertise in software testing methodologies and quality assurance empowers our staff to use our EHR and related tools to improve patient safety, care delivery, and patient, family, and staff experience.

Qualifications

Minimum Education
Bachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering, or related field (Required)

Minimum Work Experience
1 year of software engineering or related experience (Required)

Required Skills/Knowledge
Knowledge of EHR systems and healthcare technology, with a focus on quality assurance and continuous improvement. .
Proficiency in software development life cycle and quality control / quality assurance methodologies.
Familiarity with software testing standards and processes, test management tools, and automated testing tools.
Detail orientation with exceptional organization, communication, and documentation skills.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple testing events and processes simultaneously.
Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and build relationships with clinical, operational, administrative, and IT stakeholders.

Functional Accountabilities



  • Responsible for developing, applying and maintaining quality standards for implementation of health information technology systems, including EHRs and related tools, with adherence to both internal and external standards.


  • Develop and execute test plans for EHR and related system implementations, updates, and changes.


  • Analyze and write test standards and procedures and collate test scripts from appropriate stakeholders to support projects.


  • Maintain structured documentation of testing standards, procedures, test results, defect tracking, and testing closure.


  • Identify, document, and communicate test results and coordinate with the Clinical Applications team and/or external vendors to troubleshoot in a timely manner.


  • Facilitate strategy and logistics of testing cycles and events, including participant coordination and communication, test environment setup and access, and effectiveness and efficiency of all phases of testing.


  • Perform other duties as assigned.
