Pay $27.53 - $33.79 / hour depending on experience and qualifications Schedule 1st Shift Monday - Friday 6:00 a.m - 2:30 p.m. (other days and hours as needed) On-site Location Plant 2 10260 McKee Road, Collegedale TN 37315 Job Summary McKee Foods is seeking an Electrician to join our plant engineering team. The Electrician performs multiple functions from basic to complex mechanical machinery and performs basic electrical skills. They are required to continually maintain and improve methods in the operation of the Packaging equipment to increase efficiency and prolong the life of the equipment. Installs, maintains, troubleshoots, repairs, and performs preventative maintenance on all electrical equipment Performs general and preventive maintenance in specific areas of responsibility Adheres to all documentation pertaining to position Works in assigned areas of the local facilities as needed Uses personal protective equipment (PPE) as appropriate Works well with all departments and management, always cooperating with supervision and associates Maintains good housekeeping and sanitation habits that demonstrate a commitment to good manufacturing practices (GMPs) Carries tools as needed or required Ensures all work sites are properly maintained to optimize safety and cleanliness while working and after completing a job or project Alerts management if product contamination has occurred or further sanitation is required Informs management, associates, and Production personnel of downtime, either direct or potential, that might affect them or their process Completes all job related documentation accurately and neatly Demonstrates workplace behavior that is consistent with company policies and values Communicates job information to accomplish work tasks Maintains good attendance as defined by company and/or department policy Practices good personal hygiene and maintains a clean work area Exercises personal safety on the job and demonstrates a commitment to the safety of others and our products Required Qualifications Must have or be able to obtain an LTO license, valid driver's license Strong commitment to and support of McKee Foods values, ethics, goals and objectives Demonstrated strong electronic, electrical, mechanical competence and aptitude; good problem solving skills Demonstrated good planning and organizational skills Must have excellent safety, attendance and overall work record Knowledge of and adherence to company policy and departmental procedures Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated, work well with minimal supervision; high degree of initiative Willing to work flexible hours and extended shifts as needed Good computer skills Good verbal and written communication skills Adaptable to and accepting to change Ability to easily work with internal and external personnel Willingness to cross train and work in other areas and departments as needed Willingness to attend and participate in work-team meetings off shift Demonstrated willingness to learn and grow professionally Willingness to learn new tasks as they are assigned to the department Wiliness to assist maintenance specialists and work anywhere needed Knowledge of and adherence to company food safety and product purity procedures, GMPs; good housekeeping skills Preferred Qualifications Four years of experience in related field or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. A Journeyman's license is a minimum requirement.
