Software Application Developer needed for a contract to hire opportunity with SOC's client to work in Anaheim, CA.

Responsibilities:


  • * Maintain the ERP CGI Advantage v4 Financial application to be able to provide production support to users of the application.

    * Follow through on all production issues and customer inquiries to ensure they are resolved in a timely manner.

    * Prioritize and assign target completion dates for production fixes and change controls in conjunction with the client and team members.

    * Maintain the client's business processes and operations to be able to provide support to business applications users and vendors and for business applications maintenance (i.e. feature set deployment testing, hotfix or patch testing and verification, etc.)

    * Follow the change management process for all production fixes and change controls.

    * Follow the escalation process for all production issues and coordinate the effort to resolve the issues in a timely manner.

    * Troubleshoot and resolve issues from users of the ERP CGI Advantage 4 Financial application and lead the effort to perform root cause analysis for production issues and be able to design solutions to avoid recurrence of the same issue.

    * Interact with city staff and vendors in resolving issues and other business related matters in maintaining the city's ERP CGI Advantage v4 Financial application.

    * Develop, migrate and maintain scheduled and online InfoAdvantage reports using Business Objects in supporting ERP InfoAdvantage reports users.

    * Develop, migrate and maintain scheduled and online Insight reports using PowerBI in supporting ERP Insight/PowerBI reports users.

    * Develop, migrate and maintain Eclipse BIRT forms

    * Maintain PowerShell scripts, PDI Maps using Pentaho and/or related scripting/ETL tools.

    * Understanding of the ERP Financial business processes such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Requisitions, Master Agreements, Invoice, etc.

    * Able to support the City's business cycles such as annual fiscal year end processing, month-end close, fixed assets depreciation, budget projections, etc.

    * Able to support the periodic business operations such as the nightly batch cycles, vendor check printing, interface processing, reports maintenance, etc.

    * Able to support the ERP CGI Advantage v4 systems on its 24x7 business operations that include support for the nightly batch cycle and be available onsite during the city's business hours of operations.


Qualifications:

  • Educational background preferably in the fields of Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
  • Must have working experience in supporting and maintaining an ERP system specifically CGI Advantage v4 Financial and Insight Reporting.
  • Must have hands-on programming experience with PL/SQL or any other SQL equivalent version.
  • Must have hands-on programming experience with any of the following - VBScript, JavaScript/Java, PowerShell or any other scripting languages.
  • Must have working experience in developing and maintaining reports using Microsoft PowerBI, and/or other reporting tools such as SAP Business Objects.
  • Must have working experience designing forms using Eclipse BIRT (Business Intelligence Reporting Tool).
  • Must have working experience using ETL tools such as Pentaho Data Integrator.
  • Must have working experience in providing production application support and interacts with business owners and/or application users including troubleshooting and resolving application related issues.
  • Must have working experience with relational databases such as Oracle and/or MS SQL Server.
  • Must have experience in applications development, version upgrades, regression testing and system implementation.
  • Must have excellent verbal communications, interpersonal skills, technical writing and documentation skills.
  • Must have the ability to work in a team environment with good problem solving, organization and planning skills.
  • Must have the ability to multi-task and provide off-hours support for production related business applications issues and/or technical environment support.
  • Must have the ability to train application users and develop technical documentation and/or user guides.

Preferred Skills:


  • Working experience in supporting/maintaining any of the ERP CGI Advantage v4 applications such as HRM (Human Resource Management), ESS, and Performance Budgeting system is a plus
  • Working knowledge of batch jobs scheduling tool is a plus
  • Hands-on programming experience with C# or any object-oriented programming language.
