Do you want to help build the future of safety?

We seek an accomplished Senior Product Manager to drive the continued growth of our Body Worn Camera (BWC) or In-Car Video (ICV) product line. The position is responsible for leading and managing a global product line targeted toward the needs of public safety organizations with plans to expand into the enterprise segment.

You will be accountable for defining and executing the roadmap to deliver the next generation of Evidence devices while balancing the needs of the continuing evolution and maintenance of the existing product line. The successful candidate for this position requires a proven track record of year-over-year product line market share/revenue growth for BWC or ICV.

This role is primarily hybrid, with occasional travel to your local Motorola office and occasional international travel to customer, partner, and company locations, including the UK, Poland, the US, and Malaysia, as required.

Responsibilities

  • Solid understanding and experience in In-Car and Body Worn camera devices.

  • Own, define, and refine your device product's roadmap, features, and requirements.

  • Define user personas and problem-solving requirements for our public safety and enterprise customers.

  • Identify and define product requirements to address globalpublic safety market needs, including monitoring the competitive landscape.

  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to prioritize the roadmap.

  • Work closely with product operations teams to ensure orderability of your product line.

  • Manage the market expansion or establishment prioritization, including coordination with marketing, sales, training, support, and partners and identifying translation and territorial approval requirements.

  • Assist with specific large-opportunity projects that require a system- or solution-oriented approach to which your product is one element.

  • Persuade and influence others through strong communication.

  • Directly impact the business by influencing strategic functional decisions through advice and counsel to Product Management leadership and peers.

  • Develop and demonstrate a high level of subject matter expertise in all functional areas.

  • Track high-level product progress towards enabling market introductions.

  • Ensure that the backlog and goals for each team are maintained and current.

  • Work closely with your product owner and engineering team to review the deliverables in line with the requirements.

Qualifications:

Desired Skills

  • 7+ years experience in product management

  • 5+ years of product management in ICV or BWC product management

  • Bachelors, Masters, or PhD in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field. An MBA is a plus.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Polished presentation skills for internal and external audiences

  • Team player, consensus builder, natural collaborator

  • Strong organization and planning skills

  • Proactive, enthusiastic attitude toward challenging problems

  • Strong decision-making and prioritization skills

  • Skilled at developing user personas, problem-solving user requirements, and user stories

  • Some experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies

  • Experience using Aha!

  • Experience with channel, direct, and hybrid sales management

  • Experience in Law Enforcement / Public Safety software and devices is a plus

  • Pragmatic Institute Certified Product Manager is a plus

This position is potentially subject to working in high security areas governed by the US Department of Justice's "Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy" which would require successfully passing a more stringent fingerprint background check administered by Motorola Solutions Inc. customers.

Target Base Salary Range: $98,100 - $196,200 USD

Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.

Basic Requirements
  • Bachelors, Masters, or PhD in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.

  • 7+ years experience in product management with 5+ years of product management in ICV or BWC product management

  • Passport (can travel to US, UK, Poland, Malaysia)

  • Must be able to obtain background clearance as required by government customer.

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.
