PURPOSE OF THE ROLE The Senior Technical Writer plays a critical role in creating, developing, and maintaining high-quality technical documentation that supports the successful operation of industrial facilities. This role ensures clarity, accuracy, and consistency across all technical materials, facilitating the effective use and maintenance of complex systems within the energy, chemicals, and resources sectors. Working closely with engineering, project management, and operations teams, the Senior Technical Writer develops manuals, procedures, and documentation that align with Worley's commitment to delivering sustainable change. This is a Remote Assignment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop, write, and edit comprehensive technical documentation, including operational manuals, maintenance procedures, and system specifications, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company guidelines.
- Collaborate with engineers, subject matter experts, and project teams to collect, analyze, and interpret complex technical data to produce user-friendly documents.
- Structure and format documentation in a clear and logical manner, enhancing usability for diverse audiences, including operations, maintenance, and engineering personnel.
- Ensure technical documentation supports the successful operation and maintenance of industrial facilities, aligning with sustainability objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Review, edit, and standardize existing technical materials to enhance clarity, consistency, and compliance with industry best practices.
- Manage the documentation lifecycle, from initial research and drafting to final publication and updates, ensuring that all materials remain current and relevant.
- Lead or participate in cross-functional collaboration efforts, providing expertise in documentation best practices and methodologies.
- Utilize industry-standard tools, templates, and content management systems to streamline documentation processes and maintain version control.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior writers and team members, fostering knowledge-sharing and continuous improvement.
- Ensure all documentation supports Worley's mission of bridging traditional energy and resource solutions with more sustainable and innovative practices.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLSET
- Bachelor's degree in technical communication, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Extensive experience in technical writing, particularly within the energy, chemicals, or resources industries.
- Strong ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation.
- Advanced knowledge of document development tools, including content management systems, publishing software, and markup languages.
- Expertise in structuring technical content for industrial operations, including safety procedures, operational workflows, and troubleshooting guides.
- Exceptional research and analytical skills to effectively gather and interpret technical data.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality standards and meeting deadlines.
- Experience in developing sustainability-focused documentation that aligns with corporate objectives and regulatory frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to lead documentation initiatives, provide mentorship, and contribute to the continuous improvement of documentation processes
