Overview

Now hiring a Senior System Architect!

The Senior System Architect will collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders to estimate, analyze, design, build, implement and support holistic, congruent, and secure system solutions.
Facilitates the establishment and implementation of standards and guidelines that guide the design of technology solutions including architecting and implementing solutions requiring integration of multiple platforms, operating systems and applications across the enterprise. Reviews, advises and designs standard software and hardware builds, system options, risks, costs versus benefits and impact on the enterprise business process and goals. Develops and documents the framework for integration and implementation for changes to technical standards. Assists in the development of and manages an architecture governance process. Provides technical guidance to project team areas as appropriate. Tracks industry trends and maintains knowledge of new technologies to better serve the enterprise s architecture needs.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Applicable experience within Healthcare Industry
  • Certified Data Management Professional - CDMP certification

Additional preferences are:

  • Entity Relationship modeling, metadata systems, data quality tools and techniques
  • BI and reporting
  • UML (Use case and class models)
  • Experience in data warehousing, data modeling and/or data analysis
  • Good knowledge of data management, data integration and database development techniques
  • Experienced with software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile/iterative methodologies
  • Application and Solution Architecture
  • Analytics Domain Architecture
  • Familiarity or expertise desired in PHS Data Management Systems:
  • Intersystems Cache DB, Iris DB, Ensemble Integration, HealthShare, Oracle RDBMS, Weblogic Application Server, Fusion Middleware, IBM Initiate Master Data Management System, Neteeza Data Warehouse, Collibra Data Governance
  • Data Modeling, Data Catalog Development and Maintenance, Metadata Management


Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; or 6 years of relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of degree. Minimum Experience
  • 10 years of relevant experience in computer industry; 5 years should reflect direct security architecture experience with increasing levels of responsibilities.
  • Experience integrating cyber security technologies with existing technologies. Experience integrating cyber security technologies with enterprise-wide impact.
  • Advanced IT Security Certifications desired. Security certifications preferred include: CISSP, CGSEC, GICSP, CISA, Cloud Certification for Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Platform or studying towards attaining a certification.


Responsibilities

  • Aligns organizational security strategy and infrastructure with overall business and technology strategy.
  • Create solutions that balance business requirements with information and cybersecurity requirements.
  • Develop a complete understanding of the companys technology and information systems.
  • Plan, research and design robust security architectures for any IT project to support the business and security strategy.
  • Utilizing emerging technologies to design and implement security solutions; monitoring and improving those solutions while working with an information security team.
  • Consulting and engineering in the design and development of security best practices; implementation of security measures to meet business goals, customer needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Security considerations of cloud computing, including data breaches, hacking, account hijacking, malicious insiders, third parties, authentication, APTs, data loss and DoS attacks.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of security threats, countermeasures, security tools and network technologies.
