Job Summary:

Bongards' Creameries is seeking a qualified person to be a Dryer Operator based out of our Perham facility. The Dryer operator is responsible for operation and sanitation of the protein dryer. Shift will be 5 PM to 5 AM working 7 days every 2 weeks.

Duties and Responsibilities:



  • (1) Take full responsibility for drying and instantizing operations.
  • (2) Operate and CIP the DPW & Protein Dryers, Instantizer and related equipment.
  • (3) Monitor operations with Panel View controller and associated equipment
  • (5) Perform on time all necessary readings and samples.
  • (6) Keep all equipment, dryer area, and control room clean.
  • (7) Remain in the dryer area when dryers are in operation.
  • (8) Keep clear, accurate, and timely records
  • (9) Understand the plant's commitment to quality and to customer's expectations.
  • (10) Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Skills and Qualifications:



  • Must be able to occasionally lift and carry 50#
  • Must be able to rarely push and pull 500# chemical barrel
  • Exposure to extreme changes in temperature
  • Frequent stairs


  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Demonstrates an ability to manage a variety of priorities while meeting deadlines


  • Ability to work independently on assigned duties


Schedule:



  • Night shift, 5 PM to 5 AM with rotating days and requiring every other weekend.



Pay:



  • Starting Pay $24.00 with top pay of $26.12 after 12 months
