Senior Engineer - Design, Failure, and Mission Assurance

Avion Solutions Inc., an employee-owned company, seeks candidates for a Senior Engineer - Design, Failure, and Mission Assurance to support the Missile Defense Agency. This position is based in Huntsville, AL.

Job Responsibilities/Duties:

• Enable MDA Programs in preparation of Mission Assurance Provisions Requirements Applicability Matrices (MAP RAMs) and in setting thresholds for each requirement in the MAP.
• Support the preparation and review of Technical Review Plans for Engineering Technical Reviews (SRR, PDRs, CDRs, and Agile Reviews).
• Provide support during the planning and conduct of Engineering Technical Reviews
• Support System and Element-Level failure reviews.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Experience:

• Master's degree in a STEM field with at least 12 years of experience.
• Strong understanding of engineering design principles.
• Experience in the flow-down of System-level requirements which influence Element-level designs.
• Experience conducting and managing failure reviews.
• Exceptional communications and organization skills.
• Must be a US Citizen and have/able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
• Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time. US travel only.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of agile engineering design processes.
• Knowledge of digital engineering principals.
• Knowledge of and experience with the Missile Defense System (elements, products, increments, and capabilities).
• Knowledge of the MDA Mission Assurance Provisions.
