Medical Assistant - Dermatology Plymouth, MA Pay From: $17 per hour MUST: Experienced Medical Assistant 1+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant 1+ years of experience working in a busy medical practice 1+ years of experience assisting with procedures in any specialty, dermatology preferred Excellent interpersonal skills; friendly and engaging self-starter that works well in high pressure situations Strong understanding of medical terminology required to accurately document clinical information Demonstrate proficiency in use of the computer for all aspects of patient care and documentation Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment Ability to problem solve and be proactive Experience with electronic medical record systems, EMA preferred Exceptional customer service and phone etiquette Exceptional verbal and written communication skills Certified as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) highly preferred DUTIES: Perform patient intake including reviewing and documenting medical history and current medications Entering and documenting all referrals, orders and prescriptions as directed by provider to ensure accurate and complete documentation of patient's visit Medical documentation (scribing) during patient visit Triage patients to include medical history Prepare examination rooms by ensuring they are clean, stocked, and ready for patient visits order and tracking supplies Room patients and prepare patients for examination/procedure Ensure safe handling and disposition of instruments and equipment Assist physician with procedures Cleaning instruments and understanding of sterile technique Provide post-operative care, including dressing changes and post-operative instructions Other duties as assigned Quadrant is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer.
