Job Title: Payroll Manager (Peoplesoft Experience)

Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Manager with strong expertise in Peoplesoft to oversee and manage all aspects of payroll processing for our organization. The Payroll Manager will ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll for a large workforce, maintain compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and provide leadership and guidance to the payroll team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the end-to-end payroll process for employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Utilize Peoplesoft for payroll processing, system maintenance, and reporting, ensuring seamless integration with HR and finance systems.
  • Review and approve payroll data, including timecards, deductions, tax withholdings, and benefits administration.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws, including tax filings, wage and hour regulations, and reporting requirements.
  • Manage payroll-related audits, both internal and external, and ensure compliance with internal controls.
  • Supervise and mentor the payroll team, providing guidance, training, and performance management.
  • Collaborate with HR, benefits, and finance teams to ensure accurate and timely updates to employee records, benefits, and pay adjustments.
  • Prepare and analyze payroll reports, including earnings, deductions, taxes, and other related data.
  • Assist with payroll-related inquiries from employees and provide excellent customer service.
  • Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and regulations and implement necessary system or process changes to ensure compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field (preferred).
  • 10 years of payroll management experience, with strong expertise in Peoplesoft payroll systems.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of payroll processes, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other payroll-related software tools.

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
  • licensure and certification requirements;
