The Company's Specialty Brands reportable segment's areas of focus include autoimmune and rare diseases in specialty areas like neurology, rheumatology, hepatology, nephrology, pulmonology, ophthalmology and oncology; immunotherapy and neonatal respiratory critical care therapies; analgesics; gastrointestinal products. The Program Mallinckrodt is offering an 11-week internship program, which provides an immersive experience in the world of pharmaceuticals. As an MNK Intern, you will have the opportunity to contribute to meaningful and impactful work that compliments the degree you are pursuing. Summary The Employee Benefits Intern will assist in the effective and compliant day-to-day administration and operations support of employee benefit programs. This is an entry-level position with significant learning and developmental opportunities. Essential Functions
Assist in the day-to-day administration and management of U.S. and Canada benefit programs. Support the administration of benefit programs in accordance with plan documents and applicable regulations. Support the administration of employee recognition program. Contribute to strategy and data analytic discussions. Participate in the evaluation of employee benefit communications. Create a communications piece. Support the development of enhanced compliance and tracking of state leave of absence laws Participate in ongoing research and trend identification while considering current Mallinckrodt benefits programs.
Minimum Requirements Education / Experience / Skills:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Strong ethical standards and a compliance mindset. Basic understanding of different types of benefit plans (retirement, health insurance, etc.) and relevant regulations or a desire to obtain a basic understanding. Experience with HRIS systems, such as Workday, is a plus. Proficient in MS Office. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Reliable with adherence to confidentiality requirements
Organizational Relationship/Scope:
Participate and support a team of experienced employee benefits professionals. Located in Hazelwood, MO. Hybrid schedule (Tuesday and Wednesday) in office.
