Director of Neuroscience Services

Job Description:

The Director of Neuroscience Services is responsible and accountable for the business operations and processes for the Neuroscience Service Line and adjacent departments at Baptist Health Floyd. This member of our leadership team is responsible for overseeing all business operations as they relate to staffing, budget, productivity, program development, services provided, physician relationships, service line strategic planning and growth.

The Director will provide leadership through communication and relationship-building, a strong knowledge of the healthcare environments and strong business skills. The Director, Neuroscience Services leverages teamwork through strong communication, coordination and collaboration resulting in positive patient outcomes. In partnership with the nursing leadership team, the director will implement policies, procedures and standards of the hospital within the areas suppported. Director oversight includes the strategic neuroscience and stroke programs, EEG, two inpatient nursing units, and the direct admit unit.

Requirements:

• Master degree required in leadership, nursing, healthcare administration, management or related feid.
• Five years of neuro service line experience required.
• Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with physicians and providers.
• Proven ability to provide leadership in a variety of complex settings and situations while anticipating and preparing the organization for change
• Ability to achieve results through subordinates: ability to successfully recruit, conduct selection interviews, place people, give clear directions, train people for promotion, build cohesive and effective teams, monitor performance thoroughly, give constructive and on-going performance feedback, and conduct annual performance appraisals.
