Summary:

The EEO Compliance Consultant ("EEO Consultant") serves as a member of a dynamic team that provides administrative, educational, and intellectual leadership to support the Health System's equal opportunity and accessibility compliance program.




  • Investigating and resolving complex and highly sensitive internal allegations of discrimination, harassment, retaliation and other behaviors that cause a hostile work environment throughout the Health System, providing training and mediation services.
  • Reviewing practices and policies designed to ensure compliance with equal opportunity and accessibility laws and federal affirmative action regulations and provide training regarding the same.
  • Developing and preparing comprehensive reports based on facts revealed in investigations consistent with established processes and procedures.
  • Providing input and/or testimony as needed in hearings or other disciplinary proceedings that stem from the investigations.
  • Participating in the review and evaluation of JHHS policies and procedures relating to fair employment, harassment, discrimination, retaliation and reasonable accommodations.
  • Consistently providing appropriate advice and direction based on interpretation of policies and procedures, following of protocols and compliance with applicable equal opportunity and access regulations and laws.



Education:

Bachelor's degree in related field required. Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school or Master's degree in related field preferred.

Required Licensure, Certification, On-going Training:

Mediation Certification preferred.

Experience:




  • A minimum of five (5) years of progressively more responsible experience in equal employment opportunity (EEO), employment law, equal opportunity programs and affirmative action.
  • Experience investigating discrimination, harassment and retaliation related complaints and preparing investigation reports (factual background, summaries of allegations and witness interviews, analysis of relevant legal standards, and recommendations).
  • Experience in mediating and negotiating workplace claims of discrimination preferred.
  • Previous experience in health care industry or related not-for-profit environment preferred.



Salary Range: Minimum 33.40 per hour - Maximum 55.16 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
