The Regional Safety and Training Manager is responsible for leading and managing all Greyhound Driver Training and Driver Safety Compliance initiatives within a designated region. This role ensures that all safety policies and procedures are followed, providing employees with the knowledge and skills to work safely and comply with regulatory requirements; including drivers' hours of service, driver fatigue, etc. The manager will collaborate with regional leadership to promote a culture of safety and continuous learning, monitor safety performance, and drive training programs aimed at reducing accidents and increasing efficiency. RESPONSIBILITIES Training and Development:
- Organize and staff all driver training schools for onboarding employees, including coordination of field trainers as needed
- Handle Driver Background Checks, Driver Qualification Files, FMSCA Clearing House, DOT Certs and other on boarding documents as needed and assigned
- Ensure the successful completion of all mandatory safety certifications and training requirements
- Maintain records of training activities and certifications to ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory standards
- Conduct 30-, 60- and 90-Day Check ins with newly plugged drivers
Safety Management:
- Serve as the on-call expert for accidents, incidents, and drug testing as needed
- Monitor safety performance through data analysis and incident reports; create action plans to address safety concerns
- Conduct quality control of driver training within the region
- Respond to on-scene incidents as needed to help with investigations, determining root causes, and develop strategies to prevent recurrence
- Promote safety culture by driving awareness campaigns and encouraging employee involvement in safety initiatives.
Collaboration and Leadership:
- Assist Manager with Driver Hiring whenever possible
- Serve as a safety advisor and support department managers in resolving safety-related issues
- Identify trends in safety performance and training effectiveness, recommending improvements
- Implement best practices to improve the safety and training culture within the region
- Promote a feedback loop where employees can contribute ideas on improving safety and training initiatives
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of supervisory experience with proven ability to lead
- Valid CDL and Commercial Driving Experience
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with various styles and levels of management
- Ability to solve problems and act in a decisive way to achieve results
- A working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is required
- Experience with FMCSA, CVSA Regulations and Rules Preferred
- Experience in developing and/or delivering safety and training programs preferred

Annual Pay Range: $65,000.00 - $100,000.00
