Your Role on the Team Position Summary: The incumbent provides administrative support for the Cancer Center, including specialized administrative support for the clinic's Medical Director and other clinic physicians. Responsible for the Medical Director's daily schedule to include business meetings, educational time away, conferences, and all meetings related to the breast care center. Responsible for tracking and reporting monthly hours spent on Medical Director activities per Medical Center requirements. Assists with professional services billing issues/concerns, and renewal and update of physician professional memberships, licensing, and credential requirements. Required Qualifications: Ability to manage and maintain complex calendars and schedules and navigate appointments Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System Ability to work independently and successfully manage multiple/competing priorities and deadlines Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Must possess knowledge of clinic and physician billing practices and systems Minimum 3 years experience work as an Administrative Assistant, Clerk, or other similar position performing office/clerical duties Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties Ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to professionally interact with high profile customers and patients Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology Previous experience using Microsoft Outlook for scheduling and calendaring Previous experience working in a clinical setting Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms Conditions of Employment: The University of California, Irvine (UCI) seeks to provide a safe and healthy environment for the entire UCI community.
