MEP SUPERINTENDENT POSITION SUMMARY Okland is looking for a tenured MEP Superintendent to lead the coordination and field installation process for MEP systems and guide the complexities and intricacies of the buyout process. This person will have deep knowledge of mechanical systems and how they integrate with vertical construction for hospitals, clean rooms, laboratories and similar projects. The ideal candidate is a champion of quality and has the utmost pride in ensuring the high standards for these systems are exceeded while continually striving to simplify the nuances of a complex process to all involved in its success. It supervises the architectural, engineering, bidding, contracting, building, and inspection from the beginning to the end of the project and specializes in concrete self-perform on a large commercial scale. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities of this job. The employee must also occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision and color vision. The employee is also required to frequently inspect the project and will be exposed to ongoing construction and various weather conditions, including rain, sleet, snow, wind, and heat. The noise level in the work environment may range from moderate to loud. Will likely be required to operate a rough terrain forklift, and will spend long hours on their feet on uneven surfaces. Hazards: May be exposed to extremes of heat and cold as well as certain unsafe environments; occasionally works near moving equipment and mechanical parts, heavy machinery, lasers, powder-actuated tools, and electrical equipment; possible exposure to fumes or airborne particles; possible exposure to internal liquids. This is a safety sensitive position where a momentary lapse of attention can result in serious injury or death. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and occasionally very loud.
