Advanced Electrical Engineer - Power Design

Here's what you'd do:

  • As an Advanced Electrical Engineer - Power Design for Undersea Systems, you'll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for developing Undersea Communication systems.
  • Analog design and instrumentation (design and analysis)
  • Power System architecture and grounding
  • Isolated Switching Converters
  • Transmission Line Effects in power systems
  • EMI test and control methods (MIL-STD-461, FCC / IDE / VDE, etc)
  • The use of specialized laboratory equipment such as spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and other test equipment for development, testing, and troubleshooting.
Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Science or Engineering or Mathematics
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in High Voltage DC Power systems / Module design.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in multiple power topology design experience from few watts to KW+ converters.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in High voltage applications, power transmission systems, power electronics and HVDC technology
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical engineering computer-aided design (CAD) tools and mixed Signal circuit analysis/design
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Circuit Design
  • Minimum 5 years of Feedback / Control systems experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in writing specifications, requirements, and verification procedures for complex electronic systems and components
  • Minimum 5 years of Ahead of technology trends with Research & Development (R&D) experience, as well as advanced proficiency in testing, troubleshooting, and analyzing circuit card schematics
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree
  • Magnetics Design and High-Speed Design experience
  • Solid use of electrical engineering concepts, principles, and theories
  • Strong troubleshooting ability: must be able to diagnose a problem by narrowing the point of failure sequentially through components
  • Motivated to drive innovation around design architectures, assembly, component selection, and electronics design
  • Exceptional collaboration and communication skills with demonstrated success leading design teams for complex projects
  • Team player committed to ongoing professional development for yourself and others.
