Job Summary:Under immediate supervision of the Senior Director of Health Services, the Director of Care Delivery performs a wide variety of functions. This individual will provide oversight and leadership to Senior Health Center Managers and the Senior Manager of Virtual Care who support health centers and virtual clinics within assigned neighborhoods, assist in development and implementation of programs and process improvements, act as liaison between Care Delivery Leadership and administrative staff, participate in a team approach to patient care and work with others to achieve standardization for optimal performance, while creating efficiencies to achieve productivity standards, an elevated employee and patient experience, and exceptional customer service. Serves as a team member working with Health Services Leadership and in direct partnership with Director of Patient Engagement to develop, implement and monitor programs, customer service, efficiency, productivity, quality, and compliance. The Director of Care Delivery is an advocate in implementing our mission "Advancing and protecting sexual and reproductive healthcare for all." They may perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:


  • Six years of progressive related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Five years management experience in health, business, human service, or related field required.


Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities:


  • Implement, align, and support health center and virtual care strategies and goals across the 5-state affiliate including patient volume, productivity, financial sustainability and efficiency, customer service, and other metrics.

  • Provide regular reports and analysis on the performance of health centers and telehealth services, including key metrics, achievements, and challenges.

  • Provide leadership and guidance to Senior Health Center Managers and Senior Manager of Virtual Care in the areas of personnel management, clinic operations, and training opportunities.

  • Provide direct supervision, leadership, guidance, and support for Senior Health Center Managers and Senior Manager of Virtual Care to ensure implementation and compliance with best practices and regulatory guidelines and processes.



  • Provide strategic oversight of the Virtual Care/Telehealth program, inclusive of direct-to-patient video/virtual visits, asynchronous telehealth, audio-based care delivery, site to site virtual care and provider-to-provider telemedicine. Monitor and direct key initiatives, budgeting and financial monitoring for Virtual Care/Telehealth in partnership with Senior Manager of Virtual Care and Senior Director of Health Services.



  • Provide direction and oversight by assessing and monitoring the clinical staffing levels, work environment and personnel assignments to ensure there is sufficient knowledge/skill capacity to accomplish goals within each service area, including cross-training and succession planning.

  • Provide support and monitor health center and virtual care programs for patient experience and satisfaction, compliance, safety, and efficiency.

  • As the subject matter expert, provide direct supervision, leadership, guidance, and support for Health Center managers related to the patient experience and employee engagement.

  • Provide leadership and serve as a mentor for new members of the team.

  • Works to advance all the medical services provided at PPNCS health centers including family planning, reproductive health services, abortion services, contraceptive services, vasectomies, transgender care, sexual wellness, menopause, and primary care.

  • Maintain working knowledge of PPNCS policies and procedures and programs to support and evaluate the level and quality of compliance at the center level.

  • Foster relationships and work in close partnership with:


    • Advanced Practice Managers to support attainment of medical standards and compliance.

    • Business Intelligence teams to support sound fiscal management and regulatory compliance at the center level.

    • The Senior Director of Health Services and Vice President of Health Services to design, implement new/expanded procedures and services and to identify and explore opportunities for growth, innovation, and improvement.

    • The Human Resources department and Health Services Training team to effectively onboard new center managers and to grow leadership development and retention plans for center managers across the affiliate.

    • Administrative and Communications teams and departments in management of information flow and aligning messaging with the organization's overall mission, values, and objectives.



  • Develop, implement, monitor, and provide leadership to assigned programs within the organization to assure compliance of those programs within the health centers and virtual care.

  • Provide leadership within health centers/telehealth and work collaboratively with other departments to identify opportunities to engage staff in promoting and supporting a culture of community, patient experience, and the In This Together Workplace Values and Service Commitments.

  • Represents the affiliate to other agencies or organizations as directed.
