What You'll Do in This Position

Savannah River Nuclear Solutions, LLC is seeking an experienced System Administrator to join a diversified and growing team. The system administrator role will be supporting the facilities computer systems (Operational Technology - OT systems) by installing, designing, and protecting. Includes working on computer systems, local area networks and network segments, and peripherals. Solving problems as they arise with systems or during system health checks. Perform routine maintenance and monitor computers, networks, and peripherals to ensure everything is operating and running smoothly. Additionally, duties include gathering statistical information and reportable metrics. Providing system security responsibilities and overseeing the security installations. Working with vendor and/or different operating systems and versions. Administering servers, workstations, laptops, printers, routers, switches, and firewalls. Ensuring tasks are documented and detailed so that management/leads can follow-up and are acceptable as objective evidence for auditors.

System Management:
* Manage the configuration and operation of computer systems
o Monitor System Heath (performance, peripherals working properly, etc.)
o Monitor network communication
o Understand /review Event Logs
o Apply security and group policies
o Perform account management and user audits
* Install and test computer-related equipment (e.g operating systems, applications, configuration tools)
* Apply and perform baselines scans
* Perform Vulnerability Scans (knowledge of Nessus and/or Tenable Security Center would be great but not necessary)
* Provide technical support for both hardware and software issues
* Create and verify backups of data and images
* Administer Network, Switches, and Routers
* Planning for upgrades (hardware, software, etc.)
* Requires documentation (e.g., E7 Conduct of Engineering - Computer Modification Trackers (CMT's), preparing Test Plans, Desktop guides)
Cyber Assurance:
* Requires documentation (e.g., Rational Doors, Team Foundation Server, Cyber Security Objective Evidence)
* Perform Incident Response

Additional duties for this position include:
* Ability to quickly learn new technologies, concepts, and processes and to independently set priorities and resolve complex problems.
* Demonstrate ability to work independently and/or collaboratively in a team environment.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to prepare concise and effective in articulating results (verbal/reports) to all levels of management preferred.
* Knowledge performing self-assessments to ensure compliance with cyber security requirements.
* After hours on-call rotational assignment.

Security Clearance Information

SRNS is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, criminal records, and employment history, and education verifications. Positions with SRNS may require applicants to obtain and maintain a DOE L or Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. Factors such as pre-employment background review results, dual citizenship status, and unpaid and/or unfiled taxes may impact your ability to obtain a security clearance. This list of factors is not exhaustive; pre-employment information and security clearance requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Qualifications We Require

Bachelor degree in applicable science or engineering discipline

Other Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Technology, Management Information Systems, Network Engineering, or similar discipline.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Qualifications We Desire

Active DOE Q clearance preferred.
System Administration/Management experience with the following:
* Windows Server Management
* Linux Server Management
* Hyper V Management
* Windows Client OS Management
* Group Policy Management
* Server and Client Computer Hardware Installation/Replacement
