2025 SHIP Summer High School Intern Program

Are you a high school junior going into your senior year with a desire to learn what it takes to to build the world's most advanced submarines? Are you ready to take the challenge and explore the possibilities for a future in shipbuilding?

Come take part in Electric Boat's paid SHIP Summer High School Intern Program! For eight weeks, you will work under the guidance of a trained mentor and have the opportunity to observe, and participate in, the varied manufacturing processes used to build one of the world's most sophisticated military vehicles.

While working side by side with experienced employees in their assigned trades department (Machine Trades, Electrical, Pipefitting, or Welding) you will gain valuable skills and knowledge on the shipbuilding methods and tools used in Electric Boat Operations.

This Internship is located at the North Kingstown, RI location and will be an internship opportunity.

Required:

Complete your junior year of high school by June of 2025
• Must be at least 16 years old
• Must be a US Citizen
• Interns will become employees of Electric Boat for the duration of their summer internship
• Must meet EB employment requirements including Medical Screening & Hair Follicle Drug Test
• Must be available to work eight consecutive weeks between June 30, 2025 and August 22, 2025.
