JOB SUMMARY: The Automated Vase Processor Operator is responsible for a number of functions related to the production of vases and operation of a robotic vase finishing cell. The position requires multiple skills of inspecting, drilling, assembling, basic computer skills, and shipping a variety of vases. The employee will be responsible for startup, checking paint, minor trouble shooting and daily maintenance of the robotic vase finishing cell while also managing and maintaining an adequate inventory. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING: Operate JDE software to print work orders Inspect vases and vase rings for quality standards prior to preparing them for shipment Drill, tap, and grind vases and vase rings that require a guard or set screws per work order Package vases, canisters, repositories, and other hardware in appropriate size boxes for shipment Print shipping labels, work orders, pick tickets, and sort packages based upon the shipping carrier requirements Complete processes related to the startup, operation, and shut down of the automated vase system Maintain appropriate levels of liquid solvents, seven paints, primer, and two clear coats to ensure accuracy and efficiencies Ensure optimal performance of the automated clear coat system by being aware of what is happening inside and outside of the booth Maintain and clean painting and grinding robots in the vase case cell Coordinates with paint line to get odd color cases painted and brought down to be finished Responsible for responding to order requests, answering questions and filling out orders that are received via phone or email SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE Prior experience as a finisher and/or inspector Attention to detail Proactive with strong organizational skills Ability to perform a variety of duties in a fast-paced environment, often changing from one task to another to maintain efficiencies Strong customer service skills Must be able to read work orders or production tickets.
