MUST:

Active Top Secret level Security clearance required

Experienced Data Scientist

10 plus Years of experience as a Data Scientist or in Data Engineering

Significant experience in data analytics and data engineering/architecture

Experience with PowerBI, Vantage, Advana or equivalent required

Proficient in Project Management Software such as Jira or MS Planner

Proficient in on-premises and cloud business software

Proficient in multi-platform collaboration tools

Proficient in low-code/no-code

Successful past performance in providing oversight and guidance on application of content management systems and workflows

Exhibits proficiency in business management and a proven record of applying innovative solutions, design thinking, disruptive innovation, process management/design, benchmarking, Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, rate of innovation, along with other related methodologies and practices to programs of comparable scale and complexity

Experience with Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Modeling (and Statistics)

Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and experience with SQL for data manipulation

Experience working with data mesh architecture, creating or managing data products with domain-driven ownership and decentralized data management

Experience with U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) or other Army experience

Bachelor's degree preferred, additional years of experience can substitude degree

DUTIES:

Lead a team in the generation of data analytics, reporting, and visualizations (PowerBI, Vantage, Advana) and decision-making platforms (Vantage, Advana)

Provide expertise in data modeling and design (defining tables, configuring table and column properties, defining relationships, resolving many-to-many relationships, defining appropriate levels of granularity) for both operational data and analytical data

Build and maintain data pipelines, integrating data, ensuring data interoperability, implementing data structures, and designing and maintaining data storage

Design and build data architectures consisting of models and developing standards and rules for how collected is stored, arranged, integrated, and used in data systems

Plan, implement, and control activities that apply quality management techniques to data to ensure it is fit for consumption and meets the needs of users

Deliver updates and project tracking in project management software (Jira, MS Planner)

Access and leverage structured relational data as well as semi-structured and unstructured data including big data. Experience in object development and design

Apply business technologies, benchmarking, Baldridge Criteria, balanced scorecard, business intelligence dashboards, performance metrics, key performance indicators, measurement/analysis, and related concepts, principles, and practices to a program of similar size and scope

Provide oversight and guidance on application of content management systems, workflows, data mining, cloud computing, predictive analytics, statistics, data warehousing, information/Cyber security, visualization, metadata tagging, and applying related content and data management theories, concepts, and applications

Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA), clean and process data, and develop predictive models using techniques such as regression, classification, clustering, and time-series forecasting

Design, train, and evaluate machine learning algorithms to address business challenges. Work with team members to continuously improve model accuracy and performance through experimentation and optimization

Develop and implement predictive analytics and forecasting models that provide forward-looking insights, empowering stakeholders to anticipate future trends and make strategic decisions
