The Shop Support Technician position will perform multiple functions in support of the Company's service business. 2/5/25, 9:55 AM 1/3 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES: Receive and accurately document equipment and materials for shop repair activity and ship out completed equipment repairs Meet Customers and drivers with incoming equipment for repair. Accurately record information received from Customer Unload and load equipment onto trucks and trailers utilizing industry best practices on rigging and securing techniques Identify and label received equipment Log received equipment information and pictures into database Receive, label, and record into database all materials for equipment repairs Perform the check-in function for all repairs. This includes the use of the Companies ERP software and database. Perform disassembly evaluation of equipment being received for repair. This includes the ability to inspect rotating equipment and parts for damage and diagnose possible reason(s) for failure. This also includes minor electrical testing of motors and other electrical components. Assist pump and motor shop in the cleaning of equipment and parts. This will include sand blasting and power washing of equipment and parts utilizing the Companies blast booths, portable sand blast equipment, wash bay, and portable power washer. Arrange for removal of obsolete items in shop and on premises Perform routine maintenance on building and property KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES Good knowledge or understanding of rotating equipment fundamentals Keen attention to details Strong writing and communication skills Proficient in using Computer, including Microsoft products such as Word, Excel, and Outlook REQUIREMENTS High school diploma or equivalent Must be able to achieve Forklift Certification Computer skills with PC's and related software, such as MS Office products Valid drivers' license with clean driving record PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ENVIRONMENT Walk, must be able to move about inside the shop and office See differences between colors, shades, and brightness Hear sounds and recognize differences between them Operate and read from computer or laptop monitor including various font sizes from a variety of sources. Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
