We're searching for the next generation of innovative minds who want to shape the world and live to build. CCI is looking for a Drywall Project Manager in our Lansing, Michigan region. This role requires both estimating and managing drywall projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the company's quality standards.

What You Will Do:

As Drywall Project Manager, your primary daily responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:



  • Estimate Development: Analyze project plans and specifications to develop comprehensive estimates for drywall scopes.
  • Project Management: Oversee all aspects of assigned projects, including scheduling, budgeting, and coordination with subcontractors and suppliers.


  • Risk Documentation: Draft and submit project correspondence to document issues such as delays, claims, extra work, and safety hazards.
  • Material Quantification: Survey and quantify materials and assemblies from drawings to ensure accurate ordering and budgeting.
  • Team Collaboration: Communicate project goals with field leadership and coordinate planning efforts to achieve project objectives.
  • Budget Development: Develop project budgets based on current estimates and proposals and oversee vendor and subcontractor invoice approval.
  • Change Management: Estimate and quote extra work, document changes, and ensure extras are logged and tracked appropriately.
  • Project Controls: Ensure that project controls such as safety forms, work plans, submittals, RFIs, logs, and documents are organized, submitted, closed, and complete.
  • Scheduling: Work with the project team to develop project and look-ahead schedules, providing periodic reviews to ensure milestone dates are met and schedule delays are documented.


What You Will Bring to the Team:

Required experience, knowledge, and skills for this role include:



  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, or other relevant course work.
  • Six (6) or more years of work experience in construction or related job field.
  • Experienced in computer knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications and advanced knowledge of Bluebeam or similar programs.
  • Experience with Advanced Estimating - The Edge software platform.
  • -or-
  • Equivalent combination of the above education, training, and experience.

  • Proven understanding of compliance and quality assurance guidelines and best practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work well with supervision and peers.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

This position generally operates in an office environment but may require flexibility in adapting to deadlines, changing schedules, priorities, and unpredictable events. Occasional unscheduled overtime and weekend support may be required. Travel is limited and primarily local during the business day, although some projects may require more out-of-area and overnight travel

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb, or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, tolerate heights, able to talk and hear others speaking, use hands and fingers to handle or feel, and to operate a computer keyboard and phone while maintaining visual acuity. The employee must be able to lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and 25 pounds constantly.
