Front Line Supervisor, Material Control - 3rd Shift

Responsibilities for this position include:

Maintain a safe work environment for employees and enforce safety policies and safe behaviors.
• Plan, organize and coordinate work of mechanics on crew.
• Interface routinely with Production, Production Control, Planning and Facilities in order to provide daily material/heavy equipment support throughout the Shipyard.
• Work with all shifts/facilities to provide an accurate daily trailer report/pass down
• Effectively communicate and maintain a productive working relationship with the Hourly Team, Salaried Team, and Union Representatives.
• Provide leadership and mentoring to employees under your charge.
• Use Work Force Management (WFM) to verify employee time cards.

High School Diploma or GED required.

• 2+ years of heavy equipment experience (Class A CDL, Forklift, Loader, Lull, etc.) preferred.
• 2+ years of supervisory experience preferred.
• PC skills (Microsoft Office Suite) required.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively manage conflict.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
