Senior 3D Printing Technician

Description
As a Sr. 3D Printing Technician you create product designs and experiences that genuinely impact people's lives. You'll be part of strengthening the medical device innovation backbone.
Essential Functions:
  • Maintain and operate various types of 3D printers.
  • Manage the print queue to meet project priorities.
  • Process 3D printer model requests, including reviewing of files, validating print-ability, and notifying client & staff of exceptions.
  • Work directly with internal staff to develop effective post-processing plans to facilitate desired ship dates.
  • Perform post-processing of 3D printed models including cleaning, coating, inspection / acceptance testing, packaging, and shipping.
  • Conduct routine equipment maintenance of 3D printers and associated equipment, including software and hardware.
  • Perform troubleshooting and repair of 3D printer system problems, including coordination with staff and vendors for support and scheduling of service visits when necessary.
  • Perform routine maintenance of all post-processing equipment.
  • Maintain cleanliness of 3D printing equipment, supplies, and processing areas.
  • Perform testing of models to engineering specifications.
  • Support engineer project leaders with modifications in written procedures and suggested improvements.
  • Partner closely with engineering staff and other internal customers to help develop new products.
  • Identify and generate non-conforming product reports and support root cause investigations including Corrective/Preventive Actions alongside engineering and quality staff.
  • Apply GMP and GDP principles to production, test records, and documentation in accordance with the Quality Management System.
  • Train and mentor new technicians.
  • Identify opportunities to improve existing production equipment, documentation, or processes within the department and support implementation of changes.
  • Collaborate with printer and post-processing equipment manufacturers to test and implement new software, materials, and capabilities.
Essential Qualifications:
  • An associate degree in a technical field.
  • Previous knowledge of a Stratasys J850 Digital Anatomy Printer or equivalent commercial 3D printers.
  • Ability to work in a regulated environment in compliance with ISO 13485 and 21 CFR 820.
  • Must perform well individually and in cross-functional, highly dynamic development teams.
  • Must be able to work in fast paced organization, meet multiple deadlines, respond to changing requirements, and succeed under pressure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to write clear technical descriptions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Proficient with solid modeling software. SolidWorks a plus.
  • Motivated, resourceful, ambitious, and attentive to detail.
Salary Range $ 60k - 90k depending on experience
