DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This role serves as the Section Chief for the Administrative Services Section within the Division of Field Engineering. The primary responsibility of this section encompasses the management of all construction contracts, along with contracts for professional and specialized services for the Department. The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) is one of only three agencies authorized by Act 57 to oversee construction contracts, operating independently from the Department of General Services in these matters. Furthermore, this section is tasked with providing clerical and administrative support to the Bureau's Central Office, as well as coordinating administrative functions across the four field offices of the Bureau. In this capacity, the position oversees an administrative and clerical team that includes one Procurement Specialist 1 and four Administrative Assistant 1s, along with the potential supervision of one or more wage or intern Clerk Typists.
Experience with contract management, bureau wide budgeting, commonwealth accounting, and commonwealth procurement would be beneficial to this position.

- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- This position may require travel as needed for meetings.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 5 days pay period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as an Administrative Officer 1; or
- Three years of experience in progressively responsible and varied office management or staff work, including experience in personnel management, budgeting, or procurement; and a bachelor's degree; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:
