Software Engineer III

Overview:

Our mission is simple - Deliver secure, highly available products for Axway's Digital Business Platform. We are building our next generation of universal API Management platform and that enables multi-gateway and multi-cloud API management and governance across your enterprise, while enabling you to increase the visibility and consumption of your APIs by engaging across your internal and partner ecosystem, throughout their lifecycle.

Objectives:

The R&D Software Development Team is looking for a Software Engineer III that enjoys coding and maintaining secure, high-quality software products.

You will be part of an agile team with strong customer focus, where you will building and maintaining new features for the API Management Platform and products such as Amplify Engage and Amplify Fusion
• Your responsibilities will include coding, scalability, maintainability, and security of the software
• You will collaborate and communicate with product managers, architects, UX, members of other scrum teams
• You will participate in all sprint activities such as planning, grooming, demos, retrospectives

Responsibilities:

• You will be part of an agile team with strong customer focus, where you will own and build new features for the API Management Platform
• Your responsibilities will include design, estimation, codiny, scalability, maintainability, and security
• You will collaborate and communicate with product managers, architects, UX, members of other scrum teams
• You will participate in all sprint activities such as planning, grooming, demos, retrospectives.
• You will interact with customers and other stakeholders to ensure their needs are met
• Mentor junior engineers through best practices and code reviews

Qualifications:

• Candidate must be located or willing to relocate to the greater Scottsdale/Phoenix, AZ area
• Ideally, you've built a SaaS offering in your previous roles
• You havea minimum of 3-5 of years of experience as a software engineer and have delivered work into the hands of end users through continuous deployment
• You have worked in an agile environment, with a strong passion for quality, and have experience with TDD and continuous integration
• You have a solid understanding of microservices architecture
• You are proficient in Java and Object-Oriented Concepts
• You have a strong understanding of REST concepts and have solid experience in building REST APIs
• You have experience with HTML5, JavaScript and CSS Single page application (React.js)
• You have worked with Test automation framework such as Selenium or WebDriver.io
• You take ownership and pride in the work you deliver
• You can demonstrate that you have influenced and impacted product, people and process in your previous roles

Preferred Skills:

• Must have a relevant University Degree or equivalent work experience-BS/MS in Computer Science, IT or Engineering required
• Bonus points if you have any of the following:
• Knowledge of other languages such as Golang or Python
• Knowledge of container technologies such as Docker
• Knowledge of cloud Technologies, such as AWS, Azure
• Knowledge of Kubernetes
• API design best practice and API security
