What We Require: Education: . High school graduate or equivalent required. Successfully completed an accredited surgical technologist training program and holds a current credential as a certified surgical technologist from the National Board of Surgical Technology 2. Experience gained through hands-on experience and are grandfathered in the State of Va 3. Candidate has successfully completed a training program for surgical technology during the person's service as a member of any branch of the armed forces of the United States Experience: A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience Licensure/certification: Certification conferred by the Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) as a Certified First Assistant (CFA) or National Surgical Assistant Certification by NSAA is required. AHA BLS-HCP required. Other Minimum Qualifications: Extensive knowledge of anatomy and physiology Satisfactory completion of structured orientation program Excellent communications skills.
