The Conversion Visibility pod enables a performant ads marketplace and helps prove the value to advertisers by connecting Pinterest onsite activity with conversions that happen offsite (both digital and physical) in a privacy-preserving way. As part of the Measurement Interfaces team, you'll work across the full technology stack-from frontend to APIs, Flink services, and batch data pipelines-collaborating with product, user research, and design teams to develop cutting-edge solutions that drive conversion adoption and quality.

What you'll do

  • Design and maintain scalable backend systems (distributed services, microservices, batch pipelines) using Java, Python, and SparkSQL, while building React frontends and APIs to enhance conversion adoption.
  • Collaborate with product, design, and user research teams to create technical solutions that improve conversion tracking and measurement for advertisers.
  • Lead cross-organizational initiatives to tailor conversion requirements, optimize performance, and maximize conversion data utilization for specific use cases.
  • Drive technical innovation, contribute to the pod's technical vision, and mentor engineers to elevate team capabilities and align with company objectives.
  • Ensure privacy-preserving practices while connecting Pinterest onsite activity with offsite conversions (digital and physical).

What we're looking for:

  • 7+ years of software engineering experience in distributed systems and full-stack development, with 2+ years of tech lead experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Expertise in backend development (Java, Python, SparkSQL) and frontend development (React, APIs), with strong data analysis skills using MySQL and Presto.
  • Proven leadership in delivering high-impact projects aligned with pod OKRs and company metrics, using a product-focused and data-driven approach.
  • Strong collaboration skills to align technical solutions with business goals and mentor team members through feedback, code reviews, and one-on-ones.

In-Office Requirement Statement:

  • We let the type of work you do guide the collaboration style. That means we're not always working in an office, but we continue to gather for key moments of collaboration and connection.
  • This role will need to be in the office for in-person collaboration 1 time per week and therefore needs to be in a commutable distance from the Seattle office.
