The Department of General Business in the John Chambers College of Business & Economics, West Virginia University, located in Morgantown, WV, is seeking qualified applicants for a teaching assistant professor within the area of General Business, beginning in Fall 2025. The position will be full-time (1.00) FTE) non-tenure track 9-month appointment.

The primary areas of responsibility are teaching (60%), service (40%). The teaching load will be three courses each semester. These courses would be across undergraduate and graduate courses (face-to-face, online, or hybrid). The tentative list of courses includes Data Analytics for Managers, Management Information Systems, Healthcare Analytics, Healthcare Business Administration, Business Data Analytics, Business Data Visualization. Experience with experiential learning projects is considered a plus. Service responsibilities include 30% to Data Driven WV and 10% to the MBA program.

Qualifications

Candidates must have at least a master's degree in business data analytics, management information systems or statistics. The candidate must have collegiate level teaching experience in business related courses, specifically, data analytics-oriented courses. Industry experience is a plus. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
