We are seeking a visionary computer science engineer to develop and implement cutting-edge computer visiontechnologies. As the primary output and responsibility of this role, computer visionwill drive key AI-powered applications that enhance automation, optimize processes, and enable data-driven decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will also manage and create AI integration, database organization, and machine vision systems, ensuring seamless coordination across data pipelines and visual processing workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Computer Vision Development & Leadership:
    • Design, develop, and implement computer visionsystems to analyze and interpret visual data from cameras, sensors, and other sources, providing actionable insights.
    • Apply advanced techniques in image processing, object detection, image segmentation, and feature extractionto develop real-time computer vision applications.
    • Build deep learning models(e.g., convolutional neural networks, GANs) to enhance the accuracy, efficiency, and scalability of computer vision systems.
    • Lead the application of computer vision for a variety of use cases such as quality control, defect detection, visual inspection, automated data entry, and augmented reality.
  • Machine Vision & AI Integration:
    • Integrate computer visionwith machine vision systems, utilizing AImodels to automate visual analysis and decision-making processes.
    • Develop robust pipelines that combine visual data from machine vision systems with structured data stored in databases to create comprehensive analytics frameworks.
    • Drive the adoption of AI-powered workflows that use computer vision to detect anomalies, optimize workflows, and provide insights into real-time operational processes.
    • Lead the development of predictive maintenance models using computer vision to detect potential issues before they lead to system failures.
  • Database Organization & AI Data Pipelines:
    • Manage the architecture, organization, and optimization of databases to handle large-scale data from computer vision systems and other sources.
    • Develop and optimize AI-driven data pipelinesthat enable seamless integration of computer visionoutputs into existing databases, ensuring smooth data flow and real-time analysis.
    • Ensure efficient data processing and storage for high-volume visual data, while maintaining data quality and consistency.
    • Lead the integration of machine learning and computer vision outputs with enterprise-wide data platforms to facilitate comprehensive decision-making.
  • Performance Monitoring & System Optimization:
    • Continuously evaluate the performance of computer vision and AI systems, identifying opportunities for improvement and optimization.
    • Implement real-time monitoring systems to assess the accuracy and efficiency of computer vision algorithms and machine vision applications.
    • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure the scalability and adaptability of systems to accommodate evolving business needs.
  • Collaboration & Cross-functional Leadership:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders, to define requirements and build computer vision solutions that align with business objectives.
    • Provide technical leadership in computer vision, machine vision, and AI integration, mentoring junior team members and leading innovation efforts within the organization.
    • Drive strategic initiatives for computer vision and AI to improve operational efficiency, customer experience, and business performance.
  • Documentation & Knowledge Sharing:
    • Maintain comprehensive documentation of computer vision models, database systems, and integration processes, ensuring transparency and knowledge sharing.
    • Lead knowledge transfer sessions to educate team members and stakeholders on best practices in computer vision, AI integration, and data management.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in computer visionsystem design, implementation, and optimization, with expertise in image processing, object detection, image segmentation, and deep learning(e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
  • Expertise in machine visionand its integration with AI models, focusing on automation, quality control, and predictive analytics.
  • Strong background in AI integration, including developing data pipelines, machine learning model deployment, and real-time system performance optimization.
  • Experience with database management(e.g., SQL, NoSQL, data warehousing), particularly for high-volume data from visual sources and AI models.
  • Proficiency in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) for deploying computer vision models and integrating data storage solutions.
  • Strong coding skills in relevant programming languages (e.g., Python, C++, Java), particularly for computer vision and AI model development.
  • Experience with computer vision hardware and software, such as cameras, sensors, GPUs, and other related technologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to design, develop, and optimize systems for large-scale, real-time applications.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities, with experience in mentoring teams and working with cross-functional stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Computer Vision, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field.
  • Experience in deploying computer vision systems in industrial or enterprise environments, such as manufacturing, robotics, or autonomous vehicles.

The Summer Intern hourly range for this role is $25.50 - $32.20 per hour. Pay offered is based on many factors including, but not limited to, the job-related experience, skills, education, and credentials of each candidate.
