About the Role: David Evans and Associates, Inc. is expanding our Renewable Energy and Power Delivery capabilities and has an immediate opening for a Transmission Line Engineer. This position can be based in either Portland, OR, Spokane, WA, Seattle, WA, Denver, CO, or Corvallis, OR. The successful candidate will be experienced in all aspects of line design and preparation of bidding and construction documents including specifications, plan and profile drawings, steel pole concept and loading drawings, assembly drawings, staking sheets, stringing charts, and guying and anchoring, quality control, electrical studies for utility clients and renewable developers across the country. This position includes opportunities for career advancement and additional responsibilities including business development, people management, and group leadership. Duties include but are not limited to the following: * Support project teams of engineers and technicians in overhead and underground line design from 34.5 kV through 345 kV, or higher; * Provide high quality primary design on transmission line projects; * Provide quality control reviews of work completed by peers; * Provide mentorship to junior engineers and technicians; * Communicate effectively vertically and horizontally; internally and externally. Basic Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Electrical or Civil Engineering; * Professional Engineering License; * 5+ years of electrical engineering experience; * Experience with PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE; Preferred Qualifications: * Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited university in Electrical with a focus on Power System Studies; * Underground high voltage design; * Capabilities with overhead transmission electrical studies, such as induction, losses, grounding, shielding and insulation coordination; Benefits:
Salary Range: $105,000 - $145,000 commensurate with qualifications and experience; will vary by location.
