Project Coordinator (Delegate Housing Agencies) - 1 position

Under direction of the Program Director, the Department of Housing seeks a Project Coordinator to administer several city-wide and targeted delegate agency housing contracts that provide services for homebuyer assistance, access to city resources, and technical assistance to homeowners and landlords utilizing federal and local funding.

Project Coordinator (Emergency Rental Assistance Program - ERAP) - 1 position

Under direction of the Program Director, the Department of Housing seeks a Project Coordinator to administer several delegate agency contracts including but not limited to ERAP, the Chicago Low Income Housing Trust (CLIHT) and Right to Council program funded with federal and local funds.

Project Coordinators will be responsible for the day-to-day activities of programs of varying sizes and scopes, reviewing requests for proposals, monitoring their performance, analyzing local reports, reviewing requests for reimbursement payments, conducting delegate agency evaluation reviews, site, and ad hoc visits. The Project Coordinator is also responsible for outreach and engagement of delegate agencies and stakeholders that interface with the various divisions within DOH.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

* Reviews and approves program specific cases at various milestones, including reviewing initial program eligibility and work orders

* Reviews and analyzes monthly or quarterly delegate agency qualitative and quantitative reports

* Reviews and evaluates program Request for Proposal (RFP) applications received and works with the Program Director to provide recommendations on upcoming RFP cycles

* Reviews and approves financial expenditures of delegate agencies, including working with delegate agencies to establish a program budget and vouchers

* Provides comprehensive agency-specific performance summaries and memos to the Program Director

* Reconciles contract-related issues that might involve a corrective action plan

* Leads program and delegate agency network-wide meetings, calls, and events, including the Technical Assistance meeting for RFP applicants

* Proactively updates program-specific documents, including client-level, reporting trackers, and program manuals. Documents to be updated can be for internal or external use

* Liaises with other bureaus, divisions, or shared services to carry out the program's requirements of the program, including working with the agency to obtain contract-specific documents

* Works across City departments and sister agencies to provide information and services to residents of Chicago

* Attends meetings and public speaking events on behalf of the Office of Community Engagement, Racial Equity, and Strategic Initiatives (CERESI)

* Supports department staff with racial equity initiatives as designed by the Managing Deputy Commissioner

* Performs other delegate agency or CERESI assignments and tasks as assigned

Additional duties may be required for this position

Location: 121 N LaSalle Street

Days: Monday - Friday

Hours: 9:00am - 5:00pm

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

* Seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in program administration, OR

* Graduation from an accredited college or university with an Associate's degree in Public or Business Administration, Social Sciences, Planning, or a related field, PLUS five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in program administration, OR

* Graduation from an accredited college or university with an Bachelor's degree in Public or Business Administration, Social Sciences, Planning, or a related field, PLUS three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in program administration, OR

* Graduation from an accredited college or university with an Master's degree in Public or Business Administration, Social Sciences, Planning, or a related field, PLUS two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in program administration

SELECTION REQUIREMENTS

This position requires applicants to complete an interview which will include a skills assessment as part of the interview. The interviewed candidate(s) possessing the qualifications best suited to fulfill the responsibilities of the position, based on the oral and written parts of the interview will be selected.
