An Environmental Field Specialist at SET Environmental, Inc. is a field position and is responsible for:

  • Work with the Environmental Specialty Services (ESS) team to collect samples and determine best methods for sample collections and coordination
  • Ability to learn, operate, and maintain various sample equipment and supplies
  • Review analytical data, map out sample points, and prepare written reports
  • The support of various environmental projects ranging from, but not limited to:

    • Emergency response
    • General labor
    • Environmental remediation
    • Hazardous materials clean up
    • Confined space entry
    • Industrial cleaning
    • Waste inventory, transportation, and lab packing


  • Complete daily field billing sheets
  • Adhere to SET health & safety policies and procedures. Identify, mitigate, and communicate hazards to ensure the well-being of the crew, customer, and public.
  • Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned
  • Note: The Environmental Field Specialist (EFS) position predominantly requires the duties and tasks stated above to be performed outdoors not limited to frigid or hot weather conditions


POSITION REQUIREMENTS



  • Bachelor's degree in a science related field (Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, or similar subject matter); equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • Valid Driver's License with good driving record that meets SET insurance guidelines
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Basic computer and tablet skills (Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe DC / Reader, ARCGIS, etc.)
  • 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER or ability to obtain
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently
  • Ability to perform physical labor as needed
  • Ability to respond to out-of-town projects as needed
  • Must pass a local, State, and Federal background check
  • Must pass DOT physical including drug and alcohol screening
  • Industry/Construction experience preferred but not required
