To support our continued growth, we have created an exciting opportunity for an individual to join the CC&N team as an HR Manager. In this role, you will directly support CC&N and will collaborate with the broader OwnersEdge HR team.

The following is an overview of where you could join our HR team and have an immediate impact!

Recruiting, Onboarding & Orientation

  • Support the recruiting process by coordinating job postings, screening resumes, conducting phone interviews, scheduling in-person interviews, and facilitating job offers
  • Establish creative recruiting strategies with schools and other partners
  • Complete drug screens, background and reference checks
  • Prepare for new hire first day and lead Welcome Orientations
  • Work closely with leaders to execute onboarding and training plans
  • Schedule and complete 30-day and 60-day check-ins for new hires

Employee Relations

  • Respond to employee inquiries and issues related to HR policies and procedures
  • Support leaders by managing employee relations matters, including investigating and resolving employee issues and conflicts

Leadership

  • As a member of the Leadership Team, work closely with top leaders to support them on company goals, programs, and aligning HR initiatives
  • Collaborate with top leaders to ensure effectiveness of organizational design, role clarity, and succession planning
  • Partner with leaders on the development of mid-managers and field leadership

HR Program Administration

  • Maintain accurate employee records, including personnel files, HRIS data and other HR-related documentation
  • Track, maintain and publish HR metrics (job satisfaction, turnover, hiring metrics, etc.)
  • Maintain applicant flow logs and other affirmative action data
  • Manage employee offboarding process, including exit interviews
  • Support the Performance Management Program, including goal setting
  • Lead the Succession Planning and Employee-Owner Development Plan Program
  • Participate and lead a variety of projects in support of HR's annual goals and objectives
  • Ensure compliance with local, state and federal labor laws and regulations
  • Manage the internal injury process, annual Safety training planning, and compliance reporting in partnership with the CC&N Safety Liaison

Union Relations

  • Play a key role in supporting the union and company relationship
  • Active member and participant of the Strategic Union Negotiations Team

Employee Ownership Committee (EOC) Participation

  • Involved on the Employee Ownership Committee as an ESOP Champion
  • Provide ESOP event support at our operating companies
  • Promote ESOP events to encourage participation and ESOP culture

You Bring a Track Record of...

  • Holding a bachelor's degree in human resources
  • Working for 8+ years in a Generalist or Manager role supporting an HR function OR equivalent combination of education and HR Support
  • Experience collaborating as a member of a company's Leadership Team to support strategic business decisions, key performance indicators (KPIs), and other critical initiatives
  • Knowledge and experience working with the components of a unionized workforce
  • Strong knowledge in HR best practices and federal and state labor laws and regulations
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal & problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Demonstrating high attention to detail
  • Effectively communicating with employees of all levels in the organization
  • Displaying ability to maintain strict confidentiality of employee and company data
  • Working an extended or flexible schedule at times to meet the needs of the business
  • Willingness to occasionally travel to other company locations across the state of Wisconsin
  • Effectively working in a team-based, fast-paced environment
