The Impact You'll Make
  • This is a Technical Program Manager position in the Direct Metals Business Unit of the Deposition ProductGroup (DPG). DPG has a proven track record of constant innovation that has resulted in a market leading suite of technology enabling products and a dynamic, winning culture.
  • As a Technical Program Manager, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact towards maintaining and increasing our product leadership position by managing programs to develop new products and features to realize our hardware product roadmaps. You will have the opportunity to support a product development and release program, from concept and feasibility (C&F) through alpha, Beta and gamma product phases.
  • This role is highly cross-functional, comprised of managing matrixed teams of hardware engineering, process technology, marketing, supply chain, manufacturing and product / field support to achieve program objectives. This role also provides the opportunity to work with management to influence decision making.
  • We are looking for a driven, dynamic individual to join our Program Management team. As a Technical Program manager, you will have the opportunity to support a product development program, from C&F through product release, to help execute our product roadmap.
  • This is an individual contributor role with visibility and exposure to multiple functions within Lam and Lam's overall business in general. The role is targeted towards a new college graduate, or equivalent work experience, with the expectation that this will be their first professional position, requiring both formal and on the job training.
What You'll Do
  • Be part of a cross-functional team focused on hardware product release.
  • Develop and monitor progress to a training plan.
  • Interface and coordinate with senior technical program managers to understand objectives, support status updates, and prepare for release and deployment.
  • Understand potential program risks and monitor certain mitigations to ensure they are appropriately executed by the cross-functional team
  • Coordinate departmental or cross-functional teams, focused on delivering new hardware products, or new upgrades to existing hardware products.
  • Contribute to identifying and solving project issues effectively and expeditiously
Who We're Looking For

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with no previous professional experience; or equivalent experience.
  • Familiarity with project planning tools, such as Microsoft Project
  • Strong analytical, presentation and communication skills
  • This is a graduate eligible role.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of semi-conductor industry, or similar high tech manufacturing industry
  • Knowledge of hardware product development processes and procedures
  • Experience in problem solving techniques and tools
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, matrixed environments

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories - On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. 'On-site Flex' you'll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. 'Virtual Flex' you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.

Salary

CA San Francisco Bay Area Salary Range for this position: $70,000.00 -$130,000.00.

The above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside or work onsite in the California, San Francisco Bay Area only. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Actual salary may vary from salary offered due to numerous factors including but not limited to unpaid time off, unpaid leave, company mandated shutdown, and other relevant factors.
