Summary of Position

We are seeking a results-oriented Applied Behavioral Science Director to lead the integration of behavioral science across Consumer Marketing initiatives. Reporting to the Marketing Strategy & Analytics Lead, this leader will translate proven academic research into practical consumer-facing strategies that improve activation, adherence, and health outcomes. You'll be embedded in a cross-functional team, influencing campaigns across chronic care, virtual primary care, and general engagement marketing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Embed behavioral science into growth and engagement marketing initiatives with direct impact on key metrics (e.g., enrollment, activation, retention).

  • Collaborate with analytics partners to evaluate A/B tests and measure campaign effectiveness.

  • Partner with product, clinical, and design to infuse behavioral thinking into consumer experiences.

  • Translate behavioral insights into briefs, frameworks, and journey optimizations.

  • Champion culturally relevant and equitable behavior change frameworks across Teladoc.

  • Support broader research roadmap for behavior-change initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Previous experience embedding behavioral frameworks into marketing and consumer product strategy.

  • Master's or PhD in behavioral science, psychology, or behavioral economics.

  • 6+ years in applied behavioral science roles, with at least 4 years in healthcare or digital health.

  • Minimum of 3 years building and leading high-performing teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Skilled in translating scientific concepts into practical, scalable tactics.

  • Outstanding cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.

  • Able to direct program evaluation methods, causal inference, A/B testing, and Agile project management

The base salary range for this position is $200,000 - $210,000. In addition to a base salary, this position is eligible for a performance bonus and benefits (subject to eligibility requirements) listed here: Teladoc Health Benefits 2025. Total compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications. This information is applicable for all full-time positions.
