Department: Information Technology
Reports To: Senior Director, IT
Salary Range: $58,819 - $88,229 annually, plus bonus opportunity

As a Financial Analyst in Information Technology, you will perform various functions to meet planning objectives, which could include timely and accurate tracking of IT goals, budget preparation, other projects as required.

WHAT YOU'LL DO



  • Works with Business & IT to understand total cost of ownership and to potentially help drive out expense reduction and identify opportunities to drive out additional return and value
  • Assists in preparing annual budgets
  • Track, communicate, and forecast pertaining to spending patterns and budget variance
  • Work with managers throughout Dot to identify problems and propose solutions.
  • Interact with the accounting team, collaborating on tracking and forecasts
  • Applies lean thinking and tools to identify and eliminate waste in all areas of the position.


YOU MUST HAVE



  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or finance, or equivalent Dot experience
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office programs such as Excel and Access.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to meet established deadlines/goal dates.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


YOU MAY ALSO HAVE



  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Database knowledge, query skills and SQL
  • experience preferred.
  • Financial modeling skills.


ROLE SPECIFICS



  • Travel - Occasional overnight travel. Ability to independently travel as needed, without restriction, by all modes of transportation, including car, plane or train for industry meetings or conferences.
