Summary

We are seeking a skilled Data Scientist with supply chain and SIOP experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will leverage data analytics and statistical modeling to enhance our sales, inventory management, and operational strategies. You will play a crucial role in optimizing our supply chain processes, improving demand forecasting, and driving data-driven decision-making. This individual should have a strong curiosity and desire to blaze new trails!

Essential Functions

  • Forecasting Models: Develop and implement advanced statistical models to improve demand forecasting accuracy.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights related to sales, inventory, and operation planning.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Service, marketing, Operations, Inventory Control and supply chain management team, to align on planning processes.
  • Reporting: Create and maintain dashboards and reports that provide visibility into key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead initiatives to enhance SIOP effectiveness.
  • Data Management: Ensure the integrity and accuracy of data used for analysis and reporting.
  • Process Development: Creating process, that allow application and utilization of data. Ie How to leverage machine data to create predictive models and automate risk-based decisions through advance predictive analytic techniques and capabilities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in an analytical role, preferably in Supply Chain and/or Purchasing
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, R), data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), and SQL.
  • Statistical Knowledge: Strong understanding of statistical methods, forecasting and insight to advanced techniques machine learning algorithms is a bonus.
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Communication: Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SIOP processes and best practices.
  • Familiarity with ERP and supply chain management systems.
  • Knowledge of inventory optimization techniques.
  • Experience leading projects and initiatives
