Location: 2239 E. 55th St. Cleveland, OH 44103

Travel regularly to employment sites in Cuyahoga, Lorain, Portage, and Lake Counties

Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm

Employment Status: Full Time

VGS is a highly acclaimed, successful, private, not-for-profit 501(c)(3) vocational rehabilitation agency with over 130 years of dedicated experience serving persons with disabilities or other barriers to employment. We are currently seeking to hire a Rehabilitation Manager to assist in the coordination, supervision, and care of individuals. The Rehabilitation Manager is responsible for performing the following duties.



  • Responsible for the administrative supervision of the community employer work opportunity sites.
  • Assist with the collection of all receivables for any service performed. This includes calling referral sources, correcting invoices, and providing information to the Finance Department in a timely manner.
  • Develops appropriate evaluation and instructional procedures or methods such as individual training, group instruction, self-study, lectures, demonstration, simulation exercises, role play, and computer-based training for staff.
  • Develop and implement programming designed to increase daily living skills, personal/social adjustment, and vocational behaviors and skills.
  • Assist in the management, recruitment, and staffing needs of each program and/or facility to encourage program advancement.
  • Ensure all required paperwork such as monthly reports, individual plans/documentation, program evaluation forms detailed case notes, etc. is completed and forwarded to case management staff in a timely manner.
  • Plan and direct work assignments and caseloads for all staff.
  • Facilitate and supervise operational workflow; including but not limited to: attending sales calls/meetings, interacting with potential customers, delegating work assignments, and material handling.
  • Ensure and advocate for the rights of the individual and recognizes and respects individual differences and preferences.
  • Responsible for growth of the program. This involves cold calling employers and following up on leads for community employers to develop new sites and work opportunities for participants.
  • Responsible for the interviewing and hiring of staff that are assigned to each site.
  • Act as a fill-in as needed.


Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree, Masters degree preferred, in a related field and five to seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must complete CPR/First Aid certification, maintain all Medicaid requirements and pass the criminal background checks required by DODD.
  • Must have reliable transportation to get to and from employer sites.
