Location: Mt. Sterling, IL

Department: Occupational Health & Safety

Reports To: Corporate Safety Manager

Salary Grade: $68,324 - $102,487 annually, plus bonus opportunity

Responsible for personal safety-related warehouse training, developing and providing support to warehouse safety initiatives, and supporting the development and maintenance of our safety culture at our Mt. Sterling, IL facility.

WHAT YOU'LL DO



  • Conducts training for injuries, both proactive and regulatory-required training.
  • Assists in injury investigations & fork-lift related safety events.
  • Conducts on the job safety observations and 1-1 coaching.
  • Develops and presents information for warehouse safety meetings.
  • Serves as a resource for behavioral safety teams and safety committees at Mt. Sterling facility.
  • Leads continuous improvement efforts while applying lean thinking and tools to eliminate waste.
  • Works closely with warehouse leadership to develop and implement location safety plans.
  • Corporate oversite of Impact Management System


YOU MUST HAVE



  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent Dot experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrated computer skills including Microsoft office programs
  • Ability to interact well with employees at all levels of the organization


YOU MAY ALSO HAVE



  • Two years of safety experience
  • Ability to function in a multi-task environment
  • Knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations.


ROLE SPECIFICS



  • Travel - 6-8 nights per year to other company facilities or outside facilities for training and meetings. Must have ability to travel independently as needed, without restriction by all modes of transportation, including car, plane, or train.
  • Schedule - Ability to work flexible hours (weekend, night shift and on-call) based upon facility needs.
