General Job Description:

ACCO relies on the use of different enterprise level systems that house and manage employee, financial and job-related data. Data accuracy and integrity and efficient process flows are key components in the short- and long-term strength and growth plans for the company. Our Senior Financial Systems Analyst supports our business teams in the evaluation and analysis of financial and accounting process flows focused on troubleshooting issues and analyzing, improving, developing and testing improved process flows and workflows. This role entails successfully working with the Field, Accounting, Finance, Sales, and Operations teams across the company and strong collaboration with IT teams who support and develop our financial systems. This role will aid in the maintenance and reporting of data and processes connected to these systems as well as the integration of accounting and financial data across these systems. This includes, but is not limited to, analyzing, cleansing, and cataloging data from the various sources and systems, enhancement testing and validation, and delivering applicable training.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities



  • Understand data flows between various systems and review data and new / modified financial reports for integrity and accuracy.
  • Respond to support needs and queries as assigned; resolve and escalate issues.
  • Perform financial analysis of data as needed.
  • Develop and maintain functional documentation in support of financial and general accounting functions for all systems.
  • Build & manage successful relationships with IT, accounting, internal business leaders, managers, and end users to collaborate on strategic solutions to support their deliverables.
  • Identify and clearly define issues and develop business cases for process changes or enhancements.
  • Clearly define business requirements and the scope of new solutions.
  • Participate with IT and business team members in development of scalable solutions for correction and process improvement.
  • Participate in the development of test scripts and in the testing of application and workflow changes.
  • Assess training and participate development and provision of training for new and current business systems related to financial systems.
  • Research, evaluate and present industry trends and technology advancements that significantly improve the company's services.
  • Mentor and train entry level Business Support Analyst to prepare for Senior level role, when needed.
  • Other duties as assigned by upper management.


Position Requirements (Skills, Work Experience, Education, Certifications, Licenses, etc.):



  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Mathematics, or Accounting preferred
  • Certifications in Business Analytics or Financial Analytics preferred.
  • Certification or demonstrated capability in mapping and analyzing workflows preferred
  • Familiarity with JD Edwards a plus
  • 5+ years of experience in a related field or a combination of education and experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other MS Office products.
  • Demonstrates the ability to work independently.
  • Extensive team collaboration experience and strong collaboration skills
  • Ability to develop & present a strong business case complete with ROI.
  • Demonstrates a long-term approach to solutions.
  • Demonstrates flexibility and the ability to adapt to people and new processes.
  • Demonstrates appropriate discretion with sensitive information.
  • Demonstrates strength in troubleshooting issues with software and data.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of Systems Analysis (determining how a system or process should work and how changes in conditions, operations, and the environment affects outcomes.)
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management.
  • Proficient in running meetings.
  • Demonstrated skills in verbal & written communications, written test plans, articulating business issues into action.
  • Critical thinking skills - ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.

  • The employee may regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.

Hours:

This is an exempt position. Workdays are scheduled from Monday through Friday. Typically, work hours begin and end between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm as scheduled with the position's supervisor. Occasional overtime may be necessary per business needs.

Competitive Wages:

$89,500 - $122,750 annually. Applicants please note that actual compensation is determined by several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, certifications, relevant education or training, and specific work location, among others. The offered wage or salary is only one aspect of an employee's total compensation.
