Description

This is a hybrid position which requires periodic work within our Owatonna, MN facility. The hybrid schedule includes a working schedule where you will alternate between working remotely from your home office and in the facility. Therefore, candidates must reside within reasonable drivable distance to the Owatonna, MN facility.

As a Drafter, you will contribute to Wenger Corporation's strategy to provide an exceptional customer experience by converting designs into technical drawings for a team of Designers and Engineers in the Mechanical Engineering Group.

At a minimum, you'll need:



  • A technical certificate in CAD with 2 years of manufacturing work experience.
  • The ability to interpret architectural and mechanical drawings/blueprints.



It'd be great if you also have:



  • SolidWorks Associate Certification



What you will do on a typical day:



  • Interpret specifications and drawings and take responsibility for all technical aspects of creating complete, functional and safe mechanical designs
  • Complete drawings and calculations according to project needs
  • Support the design, manufacture, and installation of all projects throughout the complete production process
  • Contribute to the company infrastructure whenever possible through activities such as development of new products and processes, as well as maintenance of Standard Product Drawings
  • Become familiar with and adhere to the documented company processes and standards
  • Identify non-conformities and initiate Corrective Action Reports and Supplier Action Reports as needed
