About the College/Unit/Department
In 2018, The UGA Tifton Campus began a yearlong Centennial celebration with various events to commemorate its 100th anniversary of providing updated research to the community.
Research is done on a wide range of commodities, including cotton, peanuts, vegetables and turf grass, all of which make agriculture the No. 1 industry in Georgia.
In 2004, a teaching program was initiated and it has been growing ever since. College-level instruction on campus is aimed at undergraduate and graduate-degree level study.

Position Summary
This position will provide administrative support for assigned faculty and staff located on the Tifton Campus. Among other duties, it is responsible for processing purchase orders, paying invoices, processing travel expense statements, directing phone calls and taking messages, processing payroll, updating databases and maintaining personnel and financial records

Administrative Support & Payroll

  • Provide administrative support for faculty and staff members.
  • Process purchase orders, check requests, 4-H charges, and travel expense statements.
  • Answer and direct phone calls and take messages as needed.
  • Maintain digital records.
  • Review payroll for accuracy and process on a bi-weekly/monthly basis.
  • Report mileage on departmental vehicles to satisfy vehicle reporting requirements.
  • Complete and submit state equipment inventories.
  • Assist Business Managers, as needed.
  • Assist Administrative Associate team, as needed.
  • Assist faculty and staff with special projects, as needed.
