Position Summary
This position leads a portion of the Franklin OIT Client Services team and is responsible for achieving the college's strategic vision for client services. This position oversees multiple complex projects with a college-wide scope, encompassing fiscal responsibility and careful coordination with institutional stakeholders and/or external vendors. It involves excellent organization, problem-solving, customer service, and communication skills. This position provides managerial and technical leadership as it supervises, coaches, and mentors 8 team members. This position oversees the team's services including technical support for faculty and staff, computer labs, and classrooms. This includes all aspects of desktop support and management including but not limited to hardware, software, deployment, networking, and security. It also includes peripheral support such as printers, multifunction copiers, tablet computers, and smartphones as well as Tier 1 troubleshooting support for audiovisual technologies and services. This position serves as a representative of Franklin OIT for various college and campus groups, striving for innovation and contributing to the development of college-level and university-wide IT standards and practices in alignment with relevant institution, system-wide, state, and federal guidelines, policies, and/or law.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies
This position is expected to have advanced client services and computer/technology support skills. Applicants expected to be fluent with active directory, group policy, imaging, and other aspects of desktop management. This position is also expected to have advanced server and network administration skills. Applicants are expected to be fluent with active directory, shell scripting, virtualization technology, server administration in a multi-platform environment.

Technical
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Advanced experience in the relevant technical field of expertise including Active Directory, group policy, desktop and server management, and security best practices
- Experience utilizing endpoint management systems and industry-standard tools for desktop, learning, content management, and/or systems management services (e.g., Ivanti LANDesk, Munki, JAMF, AMX Resource Management Suite, Crestron Fusion, GIT Hub/Lab, etc.)
- Experience with Active Directory
- Knowledge of TCP/IP and experience with troubleshooting wired and wireless networking
